One thing I have come to look upon as almost universal is that when a person realizes (s)he has been deeply heard, the eyes moisten…a weeping for joy…somebody heard me! Somebody knows what it is like to be me.

20190921_114246a As a Jungian psychotherapist I work with individuals, couples and groups to help them listen for their own messages buried deep in their selves. We work on hearing those faint taps so that they can be heard and explored. This is a collaborative relationship focusing not only on current difficulties but on past experiences and future possibilities.

I have been in private practice for over 35 years and I teach graduate psychology courses, provide supervision for interns and trainees. As well I have held Executive and Senior management positions in several healthcare agencies. I have served on the Board of Directors of the state chapter of the national professional organization–AAMFT — and have been elected and re-elected to that position to represent clients and clinicians in the mental health care field.
